Fees (April to June):

Registration in Judo and Karate until June 17th is ongoing and continuous. There are two fees: "the Dojo Fee" and "the Insurance & Association Fee". "Dojo Fee" covers participation in either Judo or Karate classes for this time period. Members wishing to participate in both Judo and Karate classes can do so with no additional dojo fee.

  • Individuals: $150.

  • For Karate training, the fee goes to The Newfoundland Karate Association (NKA): From $45 to $60 again depending on age & karate rank

Please note: Members wishing to participate in both Judo and Karate classes must pay Insurance Fees for both classes for the Year 2011-12, since Judo and Karate are covered by separate insurance policies from different insurance companies.

Trial Class:

Zanshin Dojo has a provision for a free class to give you an opportunity to practice and try things out for yourself. It’s best to wear loose, comfortable clothing, such as a sweat suit. The only equipment that you require for judo or karate is the uniform, or “gi”. A gi is made of bleached or unbleached cotton and with proper care will last for several years. They can be bought in town, online or through the Dojo.
